Baggage Allowance by the
Weight Concept:

• First Class Passenger : 40 kg
• Business Class Passenger : 30 kg
• Economy Class Passenger : 20 kg
• Star Alliance Gold Customers : 20 kg additional to class allowance
• Lufthansa Frequent Travellers : 40 kg for all classes

Piece Concept:

• The passenger is allowed 2 pieces of baggage to be checked in. Each piece should not exceed 32 kg and the maximum dimensions 158cm (length + height + width).
• **Star alliance Gold customers are allowed 3 pieces of check-in baggage. **
• ** Which Concept applies can be seen on the ticket. **
• In addition to the free baggage allowance, each passenger may carry hand baggage.

• With maximum weight 8 kg. and Maximum dimensions 22 X 16 X 8 inch
• Exception Lufthansa flight numbers 1500 to 1849 and 5000 to 5999 and routes with small aircraft
• In addition to the cabin baggage allowance, the following items may be carried on board:
• One small ladies handbag, one coat or plaid, one umbrella or walking stick, one small camera, one pair of binoculars, an appropriate of reading material for the duration of the journey, a baby basket and baby food for consumption during the flight.

The Indian Revenue Department has specified a list of items, including the size, that can now be imported duty-free as part of baggage.

• Sports equipment such as one fishing outfit,one sporting firearm and fifty cartridges, one non-powered bicycle, one canoe or range less than 51 metres long, one pair of skids, two tennis racket, one golf set(14pcs. with a dozen golf balls).
