MasterCard® SecureCode is an easy to use, secured online payment service from Andhra Bank that lets you shop securely online with your existing Andhra Bank MasterCard Credit Card.
This service through a simple checkout process, confirms your identity when you make purchases on the Internet. Through a personal assurance message it also reassures you of the authenticity of the online store.


Through a personal assurance message displayed on the screen and which is shared only between you and the bank, the authenticity of the page requesting your authentication is assured. We suggest you to keep changing your password at regular intervals for increased safety.

What is Verified By Visa?
 
What is Verified By Visa?
'Verified by Visa' is a new service that will let you use a personal password with your Andhra Bank Visa card, giving you added assurance that only you can use your Andhra Bank Visa card to make purchases over the Internet. The process is simple to use and secure:

   - Connect to the Internet and shop online using your Andhra Bank Visa card.
   - You don't need any special software to use Verified by Visa.
   - Using this facility is as easy as using a PIN for ATM transactions.

How does Verified by Visa work?
Verified by Visa provides you with a password to protect your online transactions, just like you use your PIN at an ATM. Here are the steps:
  - Select the goods or services you want from a Verified by Visa online store and proceed to the payment page.
  - Enter your Andhra Bank Visa Card number and the online store will connect with Andhra Bank to check whether your Card is secured with Verified by Visa.
  - Andhra Bank initiates a Verified by Visa pop-up window on your computer screen that includes your Personal Message.
  - Look for and confirm your Personal Message, then enter your password. Andhra Bank will then confirm your identity to the merchant.
  - Your payment is authorized and your order is placed. It's that simple!

Can I register with my existing Andhra Bank Visa Credit card or do I need to apply for a new one?
You can register with any of your Andhra Bank Visa Credit card for this service.

Can I register with more than one Andhra Bank Visa Credit card?
Yes, you can register one or all of your Andhra Bank Visa Credit Cards.

How do I register my Andhra Bank Visa Credit card?
You need to register for the service through the Andhra Bank Website.

Can I register my non-Visa payment cards with Verfied by Visa ?
Currently, Verified by Visa is only offered to Andhra Bank Visa Credit Cards.

After I register, how long does it take for Verified by Visa to become active on my card?
The registration process is completely online and instantly completed. Your registration successful message is displayed at the end of the registration process and you can start using the facility to shop securely on the Internet straightaway. 

Do I need any special equipment or software on my computer?
All you need is an Internet connection and Internet explorer 5.0 and above or Mozilla Firefox 2 or above. To find out of your browser is compatible, go to the "Help" menu in the upper right of your browser and select the "About" option. It should tell you what version is installed on your computer.

What is a Personal Message?
When you register for Verified by Visa, you may be asked to create a Personal Message. While making a purchase, you would be required to look for this message on the Verified by Visa screen before entering the Verified by Visa Password created by you at the time of Registration. This ensures that the Verified by Visa screen is genuine and authenticated and is safe for keying in your Verified by Visa Password. It is only then that Andhra Bank shall authenticate your transaction.

How will the online store know that I have Verified by Visa ?
Participating online stores will automatically recognize your Andhra Bank Visa card number if you have registered it for Verified by Visa.

What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, you may reset your password (create a new password) as follows.
 a. If you are credit card holder, enter your credit card number, date of birth, name on the card and card expiry.
 b. If you are debit card holder, enter your debit card number, ATM PIN and card expiry.

If I suspect someone has stolen my password or used it to make fraudulent purchases, what should I do?
It shall be the responsibility of the cardholders to preserve their Verified by Visa password with due care and utmost secrecy as in the case of an ATM PIN. In case the same is felt compromised at some point or misused, cardholder shall, to prevent further misuse immediately contact Andhra Bank to inform the same through the following means - via telephone at 040-24756023/1800-425-4059(Toll Free) or email : ccdhelpdesk@andhrabank.co.in.

Can I get the benefit of Verified by Visa security at online stores that are not participating in the service?
No. Andhra Bank Secure Internet Payment is available at only Verified by Visa websites.

What happens if I shop at a Verified by Visa merchant website while I'm not registered for this feature?
Cardholders are allowed up to 3 online transactions or up to 10th March’09 within which to register themselves for the service. If you decide not to register as stipulated above, your subsequent transactions will not get authorized and you would not be able to complete the transaction on such websites unless you register for the service.

What happens to new cards issued on or after 1st March 2009?
All new cardholders (on or after 01.03.2009) will be prompted by the bank to register online for ‘Verified by Visa’ service. They need to authenticate themselves with their Andhra Bank credit card number, card expiry details and choosing their own login and password to be used in future, for all Internet transactions at ‘Verified by Visa’ websites. Thereafter they continue to shop at any of the Verified by Visa merchant websites.

SecureCode is a new service that will let you use a personal password with your Andhra Bank MasterCard®, giving you added assurance that only you can use your Andhra Bank MasterCard to make purchases over the Internet.
   - Turn on your computer, connect to the Internet and pull out your Andhra Bank MasterCard you don't need any
special software.
   - Use SecureCode is easily as you use your PIN at an ATM.

How does SecureCode work?

  - Select the goods or services you want from a SecureCode online store and proceed to the payment page.

     Message.

You can register with any of your Andhra Bank MasterCard's to be protected by SecureCode.

Yes, you can register all of your Andhra Bank Master Credit cards.

How do I register my Andhra Bank MasterCard?
You need to register for the service through the Andhra Bank Website.

Can I register my non-MasterCard payment cards with SecureCode?

The added protection of SecureCode is available as soon as Andhra Bank confirms that your registration is successful. You may begin shopping at participating stores by selecting the list of participating online stores featured on your local MasterCard website.

How will the online store know that I have SecureCode?
Participating online stores will automatically recognize your Andhra Bank MasterCard number if you have registered it for SecureCode.

Can I get the benefit of SecureCode security at online stores that are not participating in the service?
No. However a number of online stores have the service available to them. In the meantime, if an online store you trust is not yet participating, use common sense and follow safe shopping tips on your local MasterCard website.

What happens if I shop at a SecureCode merchant website while I'm not registered for this feature ?
You will be prompted for online registration for SecureCode. You would need to authenticate yourself with your credit card number, ATM PIN and card expiry details. You can choose your password to be used for SecureCode.
Thereafter, you can continue shopping on the merchant website. If you decide not to register immediately and transact through your normal credit card number, then your transaction will not get authorised and you would not be able to complete the transaction on such websites.

Welcome to the Andhra Bank Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode authentication service ("3-D Secure"). Please read this Terms of Service Agreement carefully before using Verified by Visa/MasterCard SecureCode. In this Agreement, "Issuer/bank" " refers to Andhra Bank. "we," "us," and "our" refer to Issuer and its suppliers of card processing and web-hosting services; and "you," "your," or "yours" refers to the Visa cardholder using Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode.
This Terms of Service Agreement supplements and is incorporated in Issuer's cardholder agreement(s) with you ("Cardholder Agreement"). In addition to this Terms of Service Agreement, Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode also is subject to the Cardholder Agreement governing the card transactions for which Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode is used.
1.        ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
a.        Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode provides its service to you, subject to the following Terms of Service ("TOS") and the Cardholder Agreement governing the card transactions for which Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode is used. The TOS may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you. Use of the service constitutes your acceptance of the terms. In addition, when using Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, you shall be subject to any guidelines or rules applicable to Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode that may be posted from time to time at the same web site.
b.        You agree that creation of a Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode account password, and/or use of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, will represent your acceptance of this TOS, and that continued use of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode after revisions to this TOS shall constitute your agreement to such revised terms and any applicable posted guidelines or rules.
c.        Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any new features that augment, enhance or otherwise change Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode shall be subject to this TOS. TOS.
d.        The Issuer reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode (or any part thereof) with or without notice.
2.        DESCRIPTION OF Verified by Visa
Verified by Visa provides you with a way of increasing security in online and other transactions for which Verified by Visa is used, by reducing the chances of fraud for those transactions. Registering for Verified by Visa involves providing personal information to us, which is then used to confirm your identity in connection with future online transactions or other transactions for which Verified by Visa is used, as discussed in more detail in Section 5 below. Verified by Visa also may be used for record keeping and reporting purposes, as well as to help resolve any transaction disputes. Your Registration Data, as defined in Section 3(b), and other personal information is not shared with the merchant, as discussed in more detail in Section 6 below.

3.        DESCRIPTION OF MasterCard SecureCode
MasterCard SecureCode provides you with a way of increasing security in online and other transactions for which SecureCode is used, by reducing the chances of fraud for those transactions. Registering for MasterCard SecureCode involves providing personal information to us, which is then used to confirm your identity in connection with future online transactions or other transactions for which MasterCard SecureCode is used, as discussed in more detail in Section 5 below. MasterCard SecureCode also may be used for record keeping and reporting purposes, as well as to help resolve any transaction disputes. Your Registration Data, as defined in Section 3(b), and other personal information is not shared with the merchant, as discussed in more detail in Section 6 below.
4.        YOUR REGISTRATION OBLIGATIONS
You agree to (i) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by Verified by Visa's / MasterCard SecureCode's registration form ("Registration Data"), and (ii) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. If you provide any Registration Data that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that your Registration Data is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, we have the right to suspend, terminate, or refuse your current or future use of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode or your card account.
5.        REGISTRATION
 .         In order to use Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, you must provide certain information to us that allow us to validate your identity and verify that you are the owner of or an authorized user of the specified Credit Card(s). The information that you provide may be validated against information we already have on file that is associated with you, your Credit Card(s).
a.        If you are unable to provide adequate information for us to validate your identity, we have the right to not allow you to register for Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode. You warrant that the Registration Data is correct and that you have the legal right to use all of the Credit Cards that you register for Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode.
b.        If you do not successfully register for Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, the merchant may not accept your Visa Credit Card in payment for an e-commerce or other transaction subject to Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode.
c.        In order to use Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, you must have the ability to access the World Wide Web and must pay any service fees associated with such access. In addition, you must have the equipment necessary to make such a connection to the World Wide Web, including a computer and modem or other access device.
d.        In the event you have a question regarding the Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode registration process or a transaction using Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, you should direct that question to ccdhelpdesk@andhrabank.co.in or call (Toll Free between 09.30 to 18.00 hrs) 1800 425 4059 or 24 hour help service 040-24756023.
6.        AUTHENTICATION
 .                     During registration in Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, you may be asked to select or may be provided a password and hint-and-response question and answer. When engaging in an online transaction or other transaction for which Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode is used, you may be asked for your Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode password or hint response before the merchant accepts your Visa Card in payment for the transaction. If you are unable to provide your Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode password or hint response, or if the authentication through Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode otherwise fails, the merchant may not accept your Visa Credit Card in payment for that transaction.
a.        By registering in Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, you assent to the use of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode to evidence your identity, including the authorization of transactions authorized in advance to recur at substantially regular intervals.
7.        CARDHOLDER PASSWORD AND SECURITY
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, Registration Data and other verification information established by you with Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, and all activities that occur using your password, Registration Data or other verification information supplied to or established by you with Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode. You agree not to transfer or sell your use of, or access to, Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode to any third party. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your password or other verification information, or any other breach of security. You acknowledge and agree that, except as otherwise provided by Applicable Law or in the Cardholder Agreement, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this TOS.
8.        PRIVACY OF REGISTRATION DATA
 .                     Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode stores your Registration Data. Your Registration Data will not be shared with online retail merchants or merchants in other transactions for which Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode is used.
a.        You acknowledge and agree that Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode may keep your Registration Data and also may disclose your Registration Data if required to do so by Applicable Law, as defined in Section 8(a)(ix), in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is permitted by Applicable Law, or as reasonably necessary to (i) comply with legal process or (ii) enforce this TOS.
9.        YOUR CONDUCT
 .                     You agree not to:
i.            impersonate any person or entity using Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode;
ii.            upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment used by Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode;
iii.            spam or flood the Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode Website or service;
iv.            modify, adapt, sub-license, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any portion of the Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode Website or service or the software used in connection with Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode;
v.            remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices contained in Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode;
vi.            "frame" or "mirror" any part of the Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode Website or service without Visa's prior written authorization;
vii.            use any robot, spider, site search/retrieval application, or other manual or automatic device or process to retrieve, index, "data mine," or in any way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode Website or service or its contents;
viii.            otherwise interfere with, or disrupt, Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode or servers or networks connected to Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, or violate this TOS or any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode or of any networks connected to Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode; or
ix.            intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international statute, regulation, regulatory guideline or judicial or administrative interpretation, or any rule or
x.            requirement established by Visa (all of which shall constitute "Applicable Law") in connection with your use of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode.
10.     LIABILITY
 .                     Under no circumstances will we be liable for consequential, incidental, special or indirect losses or other damages, such as any damage to your computer or telephone service resulting from your use of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode.
a.        We assume no responsibility for, and will not be liable for, any damages to, or any viruses which may affect, your computer equipment or other property on account of your access to, use of, or downloading from this web site.
11.     TERMINATION
 .                     If you want to end your ability to use Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, you must write to or email the bank’s customer service department so that your password and Registration Data with Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode can be deactivated. Any purchases you made using Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode prior to deactivation will not be affected.
a.        We may temporarily or permanently deactivate your ability to use Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode and terminate your relationship with us at any time, with or without fault on your part. For your protection, we may automatically deactivate your ability to use Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode if it is not used at least one time during any six (6) month period. If we deactivate your ability to use Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, we may give you notice at the most current e-mail address you have provided to us as reflected in our records.
12.     DEALINGS WITH MERCHANTS
Your correspondence or business dealings with, or participation in promotions of, online retail or other merchants on or through Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode, including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and such merchant. You agree that, except as otherwise provided by Applicable Law or in our Cardmember Agreement with you, we will not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any such dealings. You understand that use of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode does not, in any way, indicate that we recommend or endorse any merchant, regardless of whether the merchant participates in Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode. For example, Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode does not verify the identity of the merchant or the quality of the merchant's goods or services.
13.     DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
 .                     You expressly understand and agree that any software obtained through the use of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode is downloaded and used at your own discretion and risk and that except as otherwise provided in this TOS Agreement, you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download or use of any such software or other materials through Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode.
a.        EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE REQUIRED BY ANY APPLICABLE STATE LAW, WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES ABOUT Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES AS TO MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE;
14.     NOTICE
Notices to you regarding the Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode Terms of Service may be made either via email or regular mail to the address that you have provided to us in connection with any of your accounts with us, or your credit cards issued or otherwise provided by us.
15.     AGE AND RESPONSIBILITY
You represent that you are of sufficient legal age to use Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode and to create binding legal obligations for any liability you may incur as a result of the use of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode. Except as otherwise provided by Applicable Law or in our Card member Agreement with you, you understand that you are financially responsible for all uses of Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode by you and those authorized by you to use your Registration Data, your password or other verification information.
