Doctoral candidate: in Law (college major), University of Oxford9mo
I am sure you will be flooded with people telling you “of course it is possible.”
I started my doctorate at 47 - and I discovered that I was far from the oldest person enrolled in the programme when I got there.
Famously there was an Anglican priest who started his doctorate at Cambridge, aged 72.
Doing a PhD is not for everybody - only you can work out if it is right for you. And whilst you are absolutely right to consider age as a factor, it certainly should not be seen as an insurmountable barrier.
